Finance your education!

One of the most asked questions of new college students is "how am i going to pay for that?" there are a number of ways that you can find scholarships, grants and other sources of money to help pay for your education.

SCHOLARSHIPS are an award of financial aid for a student to further education. Scholarships are awarded on various criteria usually reflecting the values and purposes of the donor or founder of the award.

Fastweb.com is a good place to start if you are looking for scholarships.

GRANTS are funds by one party (Grant Makers), often a Government Department, Corporation, Foundation or Trust, to a , often (but not always) a nonprofit entity, educational institution, business or an individual.

A pell grant is the best place to start! you can apply online for government education grants at http://www.fafsa.ed.gov/

A SUBSIDIZED LOAN is a student loan awarded on the basis of financial need, which is determined by the FAFSA. If you qualify for a subsidized loan, the federal government pays interest on the loan (subsidizes the loan) until repayment begins and during authorized deferments

you can also get unsubsidized loans from banks or other organizations, such as Discover, or Sallie Mae online.

If you spend time on Facebook, or Myspace, then you should try getting a Yoobank.com account. With yoobank, you can post links to your profile and accept donations through paypal!! Below is my Yoobank link.

Please donate to my college fund.

Use google to find scholarships as well but remember.... never pay a site to find you free money for college! they are usually scams!
